As E. O. Habhegger Co., Inc. approaches our 99th anniversary this fall and prepares to celebrate 100 years next year, our focus remains firmly on the next century. Key to that future is fostering the next generation of talent, which is why we are proud to welcome Colin Hojnowski to the team as our newest summer intern.
Colin is following in the footsteps of other second-generation team members who have built their careers here, including our President, Chris Hagman, as well as Inside Sales Rep, Robbie Farnan. As the son of our Hammonton branch manager and shareholder, Pete Hojnowski, Colin is continuing the tradition of dedicated service that has defined EOH since our founding in 1927. In fact, he is starting exactly where his father did twenty-five years ago, on the warehouse floor, embracing the company's deeply rooted culture of learning the business from the ground up.
An exceptional student-athlete, Colin brings a strong track record of dedication to the team. At DeSales University, he balances his commitment as a collegiate goalkeeper with a standout academic performance in Accounting and Finance, consistently earning spots on the Dean’s List and the MAC Academic Honor Roll. This summer, he is trading the soccer pitch for our warehouse floor and front offices to learn our operations first-hand.
Rather than sticking to a single department, Colin is learning all facets of the business at once. To get a complete look at our operations, he splits his time between locations. In the warehouse, he is gaining hands-on experience in Hammonton alongside EOH veterans like Ken. On the financial side, he is learning the ropes of accounts payable by working directly with Bill Rocchi in our Yeadon office.
For Colin, this summer is all about exploration, professional growth, and discovering where his skills and interests align best for his career ahead, whether that leads him toward earning his CPA or becoming a financial advisor. When asked about his ultimate goals for after his 2028 graduation, Colin shared that he wants to go "wherever feels like home."
For Habhegger, welcoming ambitious minds like Colin ensures that the foundation built over nearly a century will continue to grow and thrive well into the next.
We are incredibly proud to have Colin home with us this summer and want to wish him a very happy early 20th birthday this July. Be sure to say hello if you see him around the branch!
