EOH The Next Gen: Garrett Moyer Steps Up to the Plate

Welcome back to our EOH All-Stars series, where we highlight the next generation of talent at E.O. Habhegger. As part of our focus on mentoring younger professionals, we are sharing our second intern conversation of the summer.
Garrett Moyer is an incoming senior and a pitcher for the Widener University baseball team. He joined our Yeadon, Pennsylvania office through a recommendation from his college coach, who is friends with our Operations Manager, Bill Rocchi. This summer, Garrett is working in our warehouse to learn the daily operations of supply chain logistics. He has quickly shown us what it means to be a reliable team player.
Day-to-Day Operations in the Warehouse
Garrett jumped right into our daily logistics tasks. He is majoring in Supply Chain Management with minors in Professional Selling and Business Analytics, and he is applying that background directly to his work.
Since starting his internship, Garrett has been helping our team with several responsibilities:
Managing purchase orders to help keep our Orlando branch running smoothly.
Handling warehouse inventory and daily checklists.
Helping out with various tasks, wherever Bill and the Yeadon team need support.
Lessons from the Field
Garrett’s approach to his work reflects a strong work ethic, and his background in competitive sports has played a big part in shaping his attitude. When asked about the most important lesson he has taken away from baseball, he focused on the importance of staying grounded.
"Baseball is a game of humbling," Garrett shared. "You learn how to deal with failure, and you get back up, and you keep moving forward... from those failures becomes success."
Knowing how to handle setbacks, figure out what went wrong, and try again is a valuable perspective in any career. Garrett is preparing to graduate in 2027, and we are glad to have him on our team this summer.
